Thank you for attending the Norman Powell Basketbowl event in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto last night at the Ballroom. In light of recent media reports and contact with the Toronto Raptors’ management, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto have immediately advised all those who attended the Norm Powell Basketbowl private event of the pre-event precautions that were put into place to ensure the safety of all.
Pre-event precautions included:
- Full sanitization of the event venue and on-site hand sanitizer stations during the event
- Signage advising of physical contact precautions between the players and attendees
- Distance of contact to the athletes for guests, media and event staff
- Providing the Raptors who attended with their own equipment
- Security measures ensuring the players did not mingle with the crowd
Everyone who was in attendance at this event should continue to monitor their health, practice social distancing and hand washing, and contact a health professional should they develop symptoms.
